Carmel - Blooms either with or slightly after Nonpareil. Harvests 14 days after Nonpareil. Kernel is medium size and elongated with a well sealed, soft shell. Tree is medium size and more upright than Nonpareil.

Fritz - Blooms with Nonpareil. Late maturity, harvesting 40 days after Nonpareil. Good pollinator for Nonpareil. Kernel is medium size. Shell is semi-hard. Tree is medium size.

Livingston - Blooms 5 days after Nonpareil. Harvests 8 days after Nonpareil. Paper shell, well sealed. Medium size kernel. Medium to large size tree.

Mission - Blooms about 6 days after Nonpareil. Harvests 28 days after Nonpareil. Kernel is medium size. Shell is hard and well sealed. Tree is large and upright.

Monterey - Blooms 2 days after Nonpareil. Harvests 28 days after Nonpareil. Kernel is large and elongated. Heavy producer. Tree is medium size and slightly sprawling.

Neplus - Blooms 5 days before and harvests 14 days after Nonpareil. Large kernel. Shell is soft and well sealed. Early bloom susceptible to frost. Tree is medium size with spreading growth habit. Primarily used for pollination.

Nonpareil - Blooms approximately 3rd week in February and harvests near end of August. Medium size kernel of excellent quality demands top market prices. Thin shell is often poorly sealed. Tree is large and upright.

Padre - Blooms 5 days and harvests 25 days after Nonpareil. Medium size kernel. Hard shell. Is a good producer. Medium size tree and upright.

Peerless - Blooms 3 days and harvests 20 days after Nonpareil. Good nut for in-shell markets due to attractive, light colored shell. Medium size, upright tree.

Price - Blooms with Nonpareil. Harvests 6 days after Nonpareil. Has tendency to alternate bloom. Medium, small-plump kernel. In certain years has a slightly high percentage of double kernels. Vigorous, upright tree.

Ruby - Blooms 8 days and harvests 30 days after Nonpareil. Medium to small, plump kernel in a semi-hard, well-sealed shell. Tree is moderately vigorous with upright growth.

Sonora - Blooms 3 days before Nonpareil. Harvest 7 days after Nonpareil. Better frost resistance than other early blooming varieties. Kernel is medium to large sized and elongated. Paper thin shell can have poor seal. Tends to alternate bloom.
