Chandler
- Harvest mid-season. Large smooth oval nut. Good shell seal.
Kernel is of excellent quality and color - light grade consistently
90 percent or better. 80 - 90 percent of lateral buds fruitful.
Tree is medium size and precocious, semi-upright and highly productive.
Cisco
- Late leafing variety. 80 percent bud fruitfulness. Kernel quality
poor. Used primarily as a pollinator for Chandler.
Scharsch
Franquette - Late harvest. Small, well-sealed nut with
very good quality, light kernel. Very large, upright tree is slow
to come into bearing. Good pollinator for Hartley and Chandler.
Hartley
- Midseason harvest. The nut is large, well-sealed with nearly
90 percent of light kernels. Tree is large and productive. Slow
to come into bearing. Typically planted with Franquette as a pollinator.
Howard
- Midseason harvest. Nut is large, round and well-sealed with
a high percentage of light kernels nearly 90 percent. Tree is
small to medium size and semi-upright. Pollinated by Cisco or
Franquette. (Patent #4405)
Serr
- Early to midseason harvest. Nut is large with a fairly good
seal. Kernel is 60 percent light. Large tree is extremely vigorous.
Pollinators are Chico and Tehama.
Tulare
- Midseason harvest. Large, round well-sealed nut. Precocious,
productive and moderately vigorous, Tulare requires no pollinators.

- Early to midseason harvest. Pointed nut with good shell seal.
Kernel color 60 percent light. Medium-to small sized tree is moderately
vigorous and highly productive. Pollinators are Chico, Chandler,
Howard and Tehama.
